Job Interview

I have a job interview tomorrow afternoon in a town a few hours north of here. Wish me well. I've been out of work for five months, and this is the first interview I've scored in that time. Unemployment is really high here, and I work in a very narrow field (with homeless men), and jobs are disappearing rapidly. The government has all new ideas of how they will solve the problem. I disagree that they will ever solve it, but they have the money and the power.
If I don't get it, that's okay. I won't be happy, but I will move as soon as I can.

Dez, show them the same flair that you exhibit with your wonderful images and they should snap you up if they have any sense. All good wishes for the interview.

Well, thank you all so much for your kind support. I just had a phone call, and I will be sent a letter of appointment. In other words, I HAVE THE JOB! I'm so excited! I've phoned just about everyone I know to tell them, but my phone has gone flat, so I have to recharge it to tell the next lot. LOL The job is similar but a little different from the last, and it will bring some new challenges, I'm sure. Now I have to find somewhere to live and organise a move. But that's okay. That will be the easy bit. Finding work was the hard bit. If I could, I'd shout you all a drink.

Congrats, Dez. I'm sure you will enjoy the new job a lot. Moving with a cat is certainly another experience, but since you are soup-fueled there is nothing to stop you :)

I forgot you all had things crossed! I should have told you sooner! LOL Oh, thank you all so much. I have spent so much time in tears in the last months that I didn't know what I was going to do. All of a sudden, someone respects my skills and needs my professional help. That just makes me feel normal again. Slightly nervous, but normal. LOL I am just so happy and relieved. And your good wishes make me feel even better. This is my internet "home".
