This is a great little app that lists your toolbars and browser helpers in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome.
It lists all the toolbars and BHOs you have on your machine and you select the ones you want removed and they are gone in an instant,

If you are a more technical user and you are trying to remove not only toolbars but also startup programs (because of a malware cleanup for example), I suggest this:

You have to be careful not to remove to much or Windows might not start anymore. :-)
I suggest the SysInterals tools in general anyway for any technical user:
