Hi there,
I have a simple studio with an umbrella spot and a softbox. A cable which I can attach to my EOS 400D normally syncs the flashes. However, it doesn't do that anymore. When attaching the cable to the camera I see flashes, but when pressing the button no spot flashes at all.
Anybody got some idea's to solve this problem? I know it's a cheap studio set, but I've been carefull with it and can't imagine that the cable is broken.
Okay, it seems it's the cable that's giving the error. When the camera flash is open the studio flashes automaticcaly when shooting
I'm glad you found the cause, atleast I hope you've found it. Because there is nothing more annoying then something not being able to do what you love to do.
Yup, that's true. The bad part of all this is that I'm going on vacation the next few weeks and I can't use the EOS then. It's owned by the company I work with and they need it to. Hopefully I can get it in the weekends :-)
This site is dedicated to everything about off-camera flash.

One of my favorites : Dustin Diaz. Besides being strobist he also writes great JavaScript.
Ohh, I didn't know his photography or his 365-project.
Thanks Jay :-)
Here he is at work:
